Wicklow Tri Club and Racing 795 (North Wexford based club) are two established Triathlon Clubs and in conjunction with Wicklow and Wexford Local Sports Partnership’s they have developed a Women in Sport Initiative to enable women of all ages and abilities, first-timers and seasoned athletes alike to share and enjoy a healthy lifestyle by providing and introduction into the sport of Triathlon.

The Series is aimed at females who are new to the sport of Triathlon and Aquathon and encourages beginner females to get involved and compete in two specially designed and organised events in Wicklow and Wexford during Summer 2010.

The first event in the TriStart Challenge Series kicks off as part of the Wicklow Tri Amphibian King Aquathon Series and takes place on Wednesday 21st July 2010, 7.30pm at Bray Promenade, Bray, Co. Wicklow. The Aquathon consists of a 750m Swim and a 5km Run.

For the new females in the Aquathon, Wicklow Tri Club will be providing a goody bag, a specific and detailed pre-race briefing for people with limited experience, a female only swim start, boats and kayakers to look after people while swimming, prizes for the leading new females and post-race hospitality to help people to socialise and mingle.
