On November 25th, 2009 the Irish Sports Council launched the NGB Support Kit to further assist National Governing Bodies in the development and running of their sports.The Support Kit focuses on the areas of Governance, Organisational Structures, Human Resources, Volunteers, Strategic Planning, Finance, Event Management, Communications, Club Development and Membership, Sponsorship along with Other Supports. Each chapter in the Support Kit gives an understanding of the key principles of the relevant section and this will be supported by templates, links, supporting documents, examples and case studies from NGBs that demonstrate good practice.
