Come and Try Events

Lady Swimming

Would you like to have a go at something new without having to commit to joining a club or an organisation? If so, one of the many 'Come and Try' days may be just for you.

Many of the 41 projects that were supported by the Women in Sport initiative in 2005  feature Come and Try Days, where you are welcome to participate in an event in order to get a feel for the activity, avail of some coaching in certain instances, or get an opportunity to try out something new simply to find out if you enjoy it. In the projects section  each of these activities is described in detail, along with contact details and relevant web links where available. You should also look at our events listings where many events will be promoted in advance. Also, if you sign up to receive our newsletter, we will be featuring up and coming events in your area that may be of interest to you.
