On 6/7th May 2006, the very successful Wet and Wild Water Women, Women's Surfing Weekend, will be held in Enniscrone, Co Sligo. This event which has been running for the last four years attracted over 400 women to last year's event alone! The weekend includes surfing instruction (provided by female instructors), and all the equipment and wetsuits are supplied. Previous events have featured barbeques, surfing movies, live music, disco and talks and demonstations on surfing related items. There are also many spot prizes. This is a terrific opportunity to have a great weekend and meet lots of other women of all ages, and getting a taste of one of the fastest growing sports for women in Ireland today.
This event is being expanded in 2006 to provide more regional events over the comming year as part of the ISA's Women in Sport Programme.
